THIS LAPBOOK INCLUDES

Thanksgiving Cover
Have your learners color and cut the cover page. Fold a large piece of construction paper or file folder where the ends go to the center. Glue the cover page on the top and cut down the middle after the glue dries.

Thanksgiving Title
Have your learners color and cut the turkey title. Glue the title on the top of the inside of the lapbook (matching the hands on the cover before gluing.

KWL Chart
Have your learners complete this chart throughout the unit of study. Glue to the top middle section of the lapbook.

Pocket Sorting
You have room for 2 pockets of the 3 pockets available. Have your learners sort the pictures from Pilgrim Chores to Present Chores to review then and now OR have your learners create a Pilgrims Chores pocket and a Thanksgiving Feast pocket.

Pilgrim’s Story
Have your learners write or draw summaries for
each section of the chart. From leaving England to arrived at Plymouth Rock. Glue the chart to the top “left” wing of the lapbook.

Wampanoag Story
Have your learners write or draw summaries for each section of the chart. From Squanto meeting the Pilgrims to teaching them to fish and crow crops. Glue the chart to the top “right” wing of the lapbook.

The First Thanksgiving
Have your learners draw and write about all that they learned of the first Thanksgiving in a summary. Have them use the resources in the lapbook to write their summary.
